Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje has thanked the Federal Government for reopening the only NCDC testing centre in the state.
The governor expressed his appreciation while receiving members of the House of Representatives from Kano State on a solidarity visit.
He applauded the federal government for their support in the fight against the COVID-19.
Gov. Ganduje further commended the House of Representatives and all the members from Kano state.
He thanked them for their concern over what is happening in the state on the issue of COVID-19.
“President Muhammadu Buhari deserved to be commended for ensuring that the test centre in Kano continues to function.
And also we commend him for sending a powerful delegation to find out the problem with the aim of finding a solution.

The state needs more testing centres across. Looking at our population, the state government is providing more health workers to support the federal government effort,”. He said.
He noted that another centre set-up by the Bayero University Kano (BUK) will soon commence operation.
Meanwhile, Kano State Government has said the recent deaths in the state were as a result of complications arising from hypertension, diabetes, meningitis and acute malaria.
The state Commissioner of Information, Muhammad Garba made this known in a statement on Sunday 26th April 2020.
As at 1:20 am 29th April 2020, 38 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Kano State, bringing their total number of confirmed cases to 115 with three deaths.
