In order to achieve a low price of $99, Google omitted a lot of features found on their high-end Earbuds. Firstly, wireless charging as the $99 buds charge via USB-C, no swipe gesture as the buds only support taps. Wind reduction for voice calls was removed, and controlling volume using the tap controls isn’t supported but the Google Assistant can do that if told to.

The buds still don’t have support for Apple devices, as Music won’t play through them.

The A-series places Google pixel buds a firm lead at the low-end segment of the true wireless market. competing favorably with the Apple Airpods at $149, Galaxy Buds at $130.

If you don’t have $200 and above to shell out for the more expensive Airpods pro, Samsung buds pro, sony XM4’s, Bose 700 all of which offer active noise cancellation (ANC) and some form of transparency mode, then you should seriously consider the A-series.
