Google is launching a new doodle paying tribute to all the teachers “who continue to work tirelessly to shape our future generations, even in unprecedented circumstances,” the company said.
The Doodle will be live for 24 hours in the US to celebrate Teacher’s Appreciation Week.
The latest Doodle was designed in partnership with the National Teacher of the Year program with the help of the 54 State Teachers of the Year 2020.
Google had hosted the teachers in February 2020 to brainstorm ideas for the Doodle.

Google Doodle illustration artist, Kevin Laughlin says that meeting and working with the teachers on the project inspired him.
“I know from firsthand experience how much of a positive impact a teacher can have on a young person’s life. I can’t express how happy I am to have had the opportunity to be a part of the Teacher Appreciation project this year,” he said.
Google said search interest in “how to thank a teacher” tripled in April 2020. While obeying the stay at home guidelines, students and parents were likely looking for ways to show their appreciation for their educators.
According to Google, “virtual teacher appreciation week ideas” were also searched the most in Florida, Texas, and California. The searches have been on since the middle of March 2020 when many schools closed.
The search engine giant adds that search interest for “connect with students” was at a record high in March 2020. “How to teach online” also reached an all-time high in Google search interest recently.
