Google Launches New Beta Testing Program For Car Android Auto

Google has launched a new beta testing program for its Android Auto car system, this is open to a select few.

Android Auto just like Apple’s Car play enables car users to connect their mobile phones, use different apps and connectivity.

Testers for the android auto beta program only need to have an android phone, users get early access to new features before they are released to the general public, Google said.

To join the beta android auto program, Goggle says you should follow these steps below:

1. Go to the opt-in page to beta test Android Auto.
2. Choose “Become a tester.”
3. Go to the Google Play store and update your Android Auto app to the beta version.

Gogle cautions that the beta testing versions can be less stable and some features might not work.

The Alphabet-owned company has been in the news lately for beta testing and security updates. It recently launched the beta version of Android 12, and security features for Chrome.

Google’s web browser chrome latest update for iOS now allows users to secure their Incognito tabs with Face ID, Passcode, or Touch ID.

 

The Tech company announced this new privacy feature on Thursday, and others during its I/O 2021 event.

 

Users can now view and delete their search history any time from the “My Activity” tab.

To quickly delete your last 15 minutes’ search history, tap the button in the mobile app or web “Delete last 15 Min”.

This feature is available in the Google app for iOS. But is in the works for the Android Google app in the coming months.
