[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The long-anticipated final season of GOT will premiere next Sunday, 14th April 2019. Fans around the world cannot wait to finally find out the fates of Daenerys Targaryen, Jon Snow and the rest of Westerosi.

The screening

The night of 3rd April saw the screening of the first episode of the final season of Game of Thrones at a lavish premiere in New York. The event, which took place at New York’s Radio City Music Hall, had 6,000 eager GOT fans in attendance. Sansa Stark’s voice filled the room with the words, “Welcome to the beginning of the end.”

It’s the last Game of Thrones season premiere ever, and the cast and crew came dressed for the occasion.

Check out the latest trailer released on 1st April 2019.

Indisposed Lena Headey, who plays the villainous Cersei Lannister, announced on Instagram that she was too sick to attend the event. She wrote in her caption:

“Gutted. Heartbroken and f**ked off, still doesn’t cover my disappointment at not being able to travel to NYC for our final prem tonight. But S8 is the tits and so are all my cast mates and crewmates and creators.”

Meet the stars

BIn March 2019, Emilia Clarke, who played Daenerys Targaryen, revealed she had suffered two brain aneurysms and had to undergo surgery while shooting GoT in 2011 and 2013. She, however, looked smashing on the red carpet.
