Nollywood actress, Foluke Daramola-Salako has revealed that 75% of r*pe cases she has handled involved religious leaders.
Foluke Daramola-Salako is the founder of Passion Against R*pe and Abuse Africa, (PARAA). She made the revelation during an interview with media personality, Funmi Iyanda.
“75% of the cases I have on my table are from religious leaders, and a lot of time, we don’t get to the end of it, because when we start, the family would come and tell us we should leave the religious leader to God.
Nothing attracts r*pe, it is a sign of weakness. Why do they r*pe minors, teenagers, and even old women, is that also about indecent dressing?”
You hardly find r*pe cases against young women except for s****l assaults and abuse in workplaces.
We find it mostly amongst kids, teenagers, and elderly women, how come you are now telling me it is indecent dressing? And we are not animals.” She said in the Instagram live interview

A week ago, the internet shook with the news of the death of Uwaila Omozuwa, who was r***d by unknown men in a church where she went to read.
Her death has resulted in protests with women calling for lawmakers to make strict policies to punish s*xual offenders.
Veteran actress Hilda Dokubo recently stated that r*pists should face the same punishment as murderers because of the pain they inflict on their victims.
This revelation by Foluke Daramola-Salako is an eye-opener to this issue of r*pe in Nigeria.
