Five Things You Don’t Need In Your Wardrobe

Your style says a lot about who you are as a person. The way you dress affects how you are perceived and, more importantly, how you feel about yourself. That said, there are a bunch of things that you absolutely do not need in your wardrobe. Here they are…

1. Anything uncomfortable

There’s no point in wearing an outfit when all you can think of is taking it off. Ditch that ideology of “yanga no dey pain”. Beauty shouldn’t hurt. Get rid of any clothes that restrict your movement or breathing because they affect your body and mood badly. Choose comfort first.

2. Anything that doesn’t fit

If you have any items that are too big or too small, tailor them to your size or get rid of them. Ill-fitting clothes make you look sloppy and cheap. Don’t let unworthy items take up space in your closet.

3. Anything that doesn’t make you feel good

Do you know that dress that makes you feel fat? Get rid of it. And those shoes that make you feel like you have clown feet? Give them away. The purpose of style is to make you look and feel more confident.

4. Anything you haven’t worn in a year

Don’t stuff your wardrobe with things you will never wear. If you haven’t reached for a particular item of clothing or shoes in a year, you obviously don’t need it anymore. Ask yourself what you really don’t need anymore and pass it on to someone else.

5. Anything that doesn’t suit your style

Don’t buy and wear anything that doesn’t suit your personal style. It doesn’t matter whether or not it is trendy or being worn by some influencer. If it’s not your style, get rid of it. Consider yourself, your personality and your style before you decide to buy or keep anything.

Only wear clothes that spark joy and make you feel bold and comfortable enough to be yourself. Find out what you like and what works for your figure, and express yourself.
