Fast-rising Nigerian singer Fireboy DML is telling us he has come to stay in the Nigerian music scene for a long time with his “Bandana,” video.
The video which features Asake is shot and directed by undisputed director: TG OMORI.
TG OMORI brought his expertise to play in this video and we can’t get enough of his magic.
First, there is the military formation with guys in matching outfits and bandanas. This is followed by a scene of Fireboy in a room filled with music equipment. This depicts the line where he says “Music chose me”
The video also have scenes of a mid air flying car with smoke screen. This is one of those things you see in a sci-fi films or international music video. Well not anymore.
Fireboy DML released his long-awaited third studio album, “Playboy” on Friday August 5th. “Playboy” includes his viral hit singles “Peru” and “Peru remix” featuring Ed Sheeran.
The album also includes features by Asake, Chris Brown and Shensea.

In July, he made history as the first afrobeat performer at the 2022 BET Awards with a live rendition of “Playboy.”
Earlier in February, the singer reached 300million+ streams on Audiomack and was presented with a plaque for this feat.
In February 2021, Fireboy picked up four awards in the 14th edition of The Headies Award. He had 9 nominations and won in 4 categories.
Fireboy DML was crowned the winner in Best R&B Single, Best R&B Album, Best Pop Award, and Best Headies Revelation. This feat made him the most awarded artist of the night.
His debut album” Laughter, Tears, and Goosebumps” ramped up 153 million streams, and his sophomore album “Apollo” also gathered 154 million plays on Audiomack.
