Lil Nas X did not disappoint the social media community when he was made Twitter CEO of the day. He stood for all our rights and demanded an edit button. Twitter users have been making this demand for years so it is only right.

The artiste behind the viral hit song, “Old Town Road”, made an interesting visit to the Twitter office yesterday. A video was posted on Twitter with the caption Old Town Road (CEO Edition). It showed the young rapper sitting down with Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey.

Dorsey had handed his CEO hat over to Lil Nas X to be CEO for the day. In an interesting exchange, Dorsey taught the rapper how to meditate. He also spoke to him about his salary as Twitter CEO being $1.40.

Lil Nax X wants the edit button, Jack

Lil Nas X proceeded to ask Twitter employees to make the edit button happen. He did this in the capacity as CEO for the day. It does not look like this demand carried a lot of weight as there is no news yet about Twitter making this happen.

However, Dorsey admitted that he had also considered the idea. Although, he is being careful about rushing into it so that it is not abused.

As expected, none of Twitter employees took Lil Nas X seriously and he proceeded to fire some of them. Again, this was to be taken with a pinch of salt as a man in a cowboy hat that had Twitter’s bird logo was not really one that commanded CEO respect.

Consequently, the video seemed to appeal to a lot of Lil Nas X fans. Meanwhile, the goofy video also struck some nerves. Some Twitter users also thought it was not appropriate to pull such stunts when the social platform still faced criticisms for toxic and misinformed content.

Lil Nas X is a 20-year-old man who has made history with his “Old Town Road” song. Despite its many remixes, the song is topping Billboard Hot 100 for a record-setting 17th week.

What would you do if you were the Twitter CEO for a day?
