Top American film company Marvel Studios, has begun filming the highly anticipated film “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”.The sequel to the record-breaking “Black Panther” (2018), has hit the production stage at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta.
Kevin Feige, Marvel’s chief creative officer, broke the news to Variety at a global fan event in Los Angeles.
Ryan Coogler is returning as the director. Meanwhile, the original cast is also coming back, except Chadwick Boseman who played King Tchalla. He died in August 2020 after a four-year battle with colon cancer.The creative officer added that all cast members are ready to make the sequel a proud tribute to the late Boseman.
“It’s clearly very emotional without Chad,” Feige said.
“But everyone is also very excited to bring the world of Wakanda back to the public and back to the fans. We’re going to do it in a way that would make Chad proud.”

Letitia Wright, Danai Gurira, Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, and Martin Freeman are expected to return to their previous roles in the fictitious kingdom of Wakanda.
“Black Panther” was a cultural whirlwind when it came out in February 2018, presenting one of the first black superheroes ever to grace the big screen.
The film thereafter earned $1.34 billion worldwide, rising to Marvel’s highest-grossing non-“Avengers” movie of all time.
“Black Panther” won seven Academy Award nominations, including for best picture (the first superhero movie ever recognized in that category). The film also earned Oscars for score production, costume design, and production design.
“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” is billed to arrive in cinemas on 8th July 2022.
