Yesterday 20th April 2020, OUKITEL launched its C18 Pro version for $99.0 (a massive slash from its original $149.0 price tag). Amid the economic instability caused by the coronavirus pandemic, this is positive news.
OUKITEL is a Chinese smartphone brand that has been existing since 2007. It released the C18 Pro on Monday and it looks to be the successor of its C17 Pro devices.
While some of the specifications that this phone comes with can be termed “mid-range”, its price puts it ahead of its counterparts. It also places it on a competitive pedestal against phones with higher specifications.
Especially at this time that many people’s survival is dependent on how well they can manage money; smartphone prices will be more important than their specifications.

However, who will say no when a single device can cater to the two needs? Provided, the OUKITEL C18 Pro specifications might not be head-turning, but coupled with its price of $99, it will surely draw attention.
For example, the phone’s display is a 6.55-inch HD+ display with 720 x 1600 pixels resolution. It has a punch-hole notch by its top-left corner that does not interfere with its screen.
An Helio P25 CPU powers the phone and it has four rear cameras arranged in a square shape on a rectangular cut-out. The lead camera is a 16MP machine that is complimented by an 8MP ultra-wide lens. To give it depth support, it has a 2MP sensor and the fourth camera is a 5MP macro lens.
For extra brightness, the OUKITEL C18 Pro has a dual-LED flash. It has a 4,000 mAh battery as well.
In addition, it uses a 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage which can be expanded to a maximum of 128GB using the microSD card slot. While it launched with the Android 9 (Pie) version, the company claims to be releasing Android 10 updates soon.
