Falz Remembers Brave Soldiers Of Lekki Toll Gate As He Turns 30

Popular Nigerian rapper Falz recently turned 30. The singer took to his Instagram page looking dapper but explaining how he feels about his new age.

 

In his post, Falz explained that he is turning 30 with mixed feelings as it is now a week since peaceful protesters he described as “Brave soldiers” were shot at Lekki toll gate.

 

He prayed for a better Nigeria and a country he can call home, as he raised his hands to depict a person praying in his birthday photo.

You will recall that Falz and fellow musician Runtown started the #EndSARS protest on the 7th of October. The movement which kicked off from Lekki toll gate Lagos saw youths in other parts of the country gathering in different locations calling to an end to police brutality.

 

However, things took a different turn on 20th October when military men opened fire on peaceful protesters at the Lekki toll gate after Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu imposed a 24 hours curfew.

 

Meanwhile, a judicial panel has been set by the Lagos State Government to investigate the Lekki toll gate shooting and grievances of persons who have had gruesome experiences in the hands of SARS operatives.
