Facebook Introduces Manage Activity Feature, See How To Use It

While the Manage Activity feature might sound like a task scheduling tool, Facebook explains that it is there to help you archive or trash old posts. This article also shows you how to use the new Facebook Manage Activity feature.

In a blog post, dated 2nd June 2020, Facebook explains that Manage Activity was borne out of understanding the needs of users. It wrote:

“Whether you’re entering the job market after college or moving on from an old relationship, we know things change in people’s lives, and we want to make it easy for you to curate your presence on Facebook to more accurately reflect who you are today.”

With this tool, you don’t have to keep dealing with embarrassment when people come across your old Facebook posts. It gives you the option of either trashing old posts that you no longer want people to see or archiving them for your eyes only. Trashed posts would be deleted within 30 days unless you delete them manually or restore them before that time is up.

To ease the work, Facebook users can manage and see bulk posts at the same time using Manage Activity. It also comes with filters that you can use to sort the kinds of posts you are looking for. These can be posts that have some people you no longer associate with or posts from a specific period of time.
