Where to buy every new product Apple announced on March 8

On March 8 2022, Apple announced the M1 Ultra chip, Mac Studio, iPad Air, iPhone SE 5G, and new colours for 2021’s iPhone 13 and iPhone 13; here are the details on each product and where to buy them.

M1 Ultra chip

The M1 Ultra chip is likely the most talked-about announcement of the Apple Event. Tech YouTuber Marques Brownlee described it as having two M1 Max connected. The new chip will have up to 128GB unified memory, a 20-core CPU, and a 64-core GPU. It is said to be 8x faster than the basic M1 chip and comes with 114 billion transistors. Although it is not yet official, Apple’s M1 Ultra chip could cost $2,000.

Mac Studio

Closely following the chip announcement is this shocker of a PC that we had no idea was coming. The Mac Studio offers you a 27-inch 5K retina display, 3 USB-C ports, and 1 Thunderbolt port to connect a display, a TV, or an external storage device – no wonder one of the perks is its ability to work with the M1 Ultra chip mentioned above. It also has an SD card slot and in-built Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities. You can see its most prominent features in the photo above. To buy the 2022 Mac Studio, you will have to shell out $1,999.

iPhone SE 5G

The 2022 iPhone SE 5G was the b**t of jokes at the Apple Event, and at least two people called it ‘a new iPhone in an iPhone 8 body.’ While the design is not too flattering, the latest Standard Edition iPhone comes with the A15 Bionic chipset. It does not support the MagSafe accessory system but still allows wireless charging. The camera did not change from the old iPhone SE, and the iPhone SE 5G has an asking price of $429.

iPad Air

As expected, Apple announced a new iPad Air that features the same design as the 2020 version but adds the M1 chip, 5G abilities, and a 12MP ultra-wide front-facing camera with centerstage. It flies into the market with a price tag of $599.

iPhone 13 Pro new colours

Ahead of the rumoured iPhone 14 launch, iPhone 13 and its Pro version got new colours – green and alpine green – at Apple’s March 8 event. The new colours do not come with additional money requirements. So, if you had held out on buying the device since it came out in September 2021, now is your chance to buy it in a new colour.

All Apple products will be available for purchase on Apple Store, and you can beat the crowd by taking advantage of the pre-order feature where applicable. Otherwise, you may have to wait for it to be available at your local store.
