#EndSARS: Runtown, Falz, Tiwa Savage Lead Hundreds To A Peaceful Protest In Lagos

Musicians Falz and Runtown have pulled an enormous crowd for the ongoing #EndSARS protest which is happening in Lagos.#EndSARS: Runtown, Falz, Tiwa Savage Lead Hundreds To A Peaceful Protest In Lagos#EndSARSRuntown on Sunday, October 4th annouced he’d be leading a protest against FSARS. The “Mad over you” singer made the statement via his Instagram and Twitter pages announcing the march will kick off from Lekki Tollgate at 10 am prompt.

 

Falz also expressed his intention to join the protest. He called on his fans and followers to join him as they take the agitation to the streets and their calls were heeded.

 

Hundreds of youths holding placards with inscriptions calling for the end of FSARS took to the streets with Falz and Runtown marching amongst them.

According to reports, one of the lanes on Lekki Phase 1, Lagos is inaccessible because of protesters.

For years now, Nigerians have clamoured for the government to completely abolish the dreaded police unit, FSARS.

 

The police unit is notorious for kidnapping, extorting, and sometimes killing hapless citizens at the mercy. Their operations which are majorly is in the South-west, South-east, and South-south of the country have been a source of pain to Nigerians.

 

Meanwhile, the Inspector-General of Police on Sunday October 4th, sent out a communication to say FSARS have been banned from major roads.

 

However, Nigerians didn’t buy it.

 

The police previous years have annouced the ban of FSARS from the roads and that hasn’t stopped them from carrying out their dastardly acts.
