Ellen DeGeneres Show DJ tWitch Dies at 40, From Probable Suicide

Stephen Laurel Boss, aka DJ ‘tWitch’, has died at the age of 40. he became popular after participating in the Ellen DeGeneres Show, and “So You Think You Can Dance”.

According to TMZ, Boss’ death is reported to have been a suicide, although the first investigations are still underway.

TMZ reports that some police sources in Los Angeles said that the wife of ‘tWitch’, Allison Holker, went in desperation to a police station on Tuesday December 13th, to report that Stephen had disappeared from his home without taking his car, which he never did.

It adds that before noon, paramedics received a call for a medical emergency at a Los Angeles hotel and that’s where they found Stephen, dead of a gunshot wound that was apparently self-inflicted. Boss was pronounced dead at the scene and the cause of death is being investigated as a probable suicide.

“Stephen lit up every room he walked into. He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him,” Holker expressed to TMZ.

“He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans. To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt. I’m sure not a day will pass without us honouring his memory,” she added. “Stephen, we love. We miss you and I will always save the last dance for you.”

Stephen came to the Ellen show as a DJ in 2014, and was on the show until the end of the show last May. He had a brief career in film, always as a dancer, in films such as Step Up and Magic Mike XXL. Boss and Holker married in 2013 and had three children.
