Konami says that eFootball 2022 is getting a major update in April and it will fix many of the concerns that players have raised over the game.
Following its release in October 2021, eFootball 2022 faced several criticisms and bad ratings. From the poor graphics to character looks and even in-game features, it was a totally underwhelming time to be a fan of PES.
In an apology statement to game players, Konami spokesperson pointed at a lot of issues that caused the game to be so bad. The company had moved the game to an entirely new engine, they changed the style of play, they tried to make it playable on next-gen consoles like PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, time constraint in delivering to players as soon as possible, and so on.

“Resultantly, the game received harsh feedback about the quality. Since eFootball’s launch back in September, however, we have prioritised improvements and corrections based on the feedback and opinions we received,” Konami said.
Its coming update will be tagged 1.0.0 and players are to expect it on 14 April 2022.
The company apologised for the delay, because it usually releases new games to coincide with the beginning of the European football season in September.
In truth, eFootball 2022 had been so bad that I don’t know which of the improvements I am looking forward to the most. Anything better than the initial release will be okay for now.
