BBNaija’s reality star Dorathy Bachor has recounted her horrifying experience in the hands of men of the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFFC).
On her Instagram stories in the early hours of August 23, 2021, Dorathy shared that she woke up to noise in her living room around 5 am in the morning.
She ran out barely clothed and to see five men of EFCC standing in her living room, her door had been broken down. They then told her they chased someone into her estate and proceeded to break her door down.
“What is the need of being a citizen of this country if i can’t feel safe in my own house? It’s 5am and I’m literally shaking and so upset right now”, she wrote.
“At 4:45am i heard a loud sound and voices followed after. I rush out almost n***d to see 5 fully armed men in my living room and one of them saying “oh nah that big brother babe be this”. In my confused state I’m trying ti understand what in the hell was going on, why did they break down my door”

She also shared a video where her gateman said the EFCC officials told him if he didn’t open his gate, they would shoot him.
This is not the first time notable Nigerians will accuse the EFCC of breaking and entry.
Filmmaker Biodun Stephen had also recounted how the EFCC broke into her hotel room while she was asleep in the dead of the night.
Biodun explained that on the said night, she was sleeping when she suddenly jumped up around 3 am after sensing some people moving around the door of her hotel apartment.
The filmmaker said she later saw “two men dressed in black weapons” who identified themselves as EFCC officials.
The Commission is yet to address these grave allegations against them.
