The Audio company announced via an official statement:

“The Neobuds Pro are the first hi-res-certified, noise-canceling, truly wireless earphones in the market that boast a dynamic driver, Knowles balanced armature, and LHDC+ACC codec.”

This earbud has five hours of battery life when ANC is enabled and six hours when it is disabled, quite impressive for its price.

Other features include Transparency mode, control customization, and a mobile app for controlling the NeoBuds EQ.

Edifier’s new earbuds have a premium look based on their aesthetics, comparable to its NB2 Pro earbuds.

But they lack wireless charging. The Neobuds only charge through a USB-C cable.

According to a post by Digital trends, for a set of wireless earbuds to claim hi-res audio status, it needs to have two features:

The ability to reproduce frequencies between 20Hz and 40Hz,

Support for LDAC or LHDC – the only two Bluetooth codecs currently recognized by the Japan Audio Society for wireless hi-res audio.

Edifier has said its NeoBuds Pro has a hybrid driver configuration and LHDC support.

To enjoy LDAC users will need to have an LDAC compatible phone from the likes of Xiaomi, Oppo, and Poco.

Even popular brands like Google, Apple, and Samsung, etc do not support the LDAC feature yet.

So technically, the Neobuds Pro earbuds are wireless hi-res-capable but might not output them cause of smartphone compatibility.

The earbuds are currently only available on preorder, Edifier says they will ship in August this year.
