Manager to rap legend DMX has spoken up to debunk rumours of his death making the rounds.
The manager, Steve Rifkind on Friday in an Instagram video debunked the fake news, announcing that the DMX, real name Earl Simmons is alive and fighting got his like.
“Everybody, please stop with the posting with these rumors. DMX is still alive. Yes, he is on life support. But, please it’s not helping anybody by seeing these false rumors,” he said.

“Let the family relax for a night. You will be hearing a statement from the family sometime tomorrow. I’ve been with DMX for the past three years. So, the only thing I ask is just stop with the rumors. He is still alive and he is on life support. Thank you.”
News of the rapper’s supposed death was broken on Instagram by comedian Luenell who wrote a post suggesting DMX had passed
“It is over, my friend is gone,” her post read. “Soar. Join the best that ever did it. RIP DMX,”

On Friday, April 2nd, the “Lord Give Me A Sign” rapper suffered a heart attack from reportedly overdosing and is currently in the intensive care unit of White Plains Hospital, New York.
According to a report released by TMZ, the rap legend has not regained any brain function since his overdose on April 2nd. His family now faces the heartbreaking decision of taking him of whether to take him off life support or not.
DMX 50 has struggled with substance abuse for much of his life, which repeatedly made it into his songs. The artist has been to rehab several times; the last time in 2019 after completing a 12-month sentence for tax evasion.
He’d just began to dust up his music career and even hinted at an album release. DMX was last seen performing in a Verzuz battle with fellow rapper Snoop Dogg.
