Nigerian DJ Obianuju Catherine Udeh has reacted to the verdict given by the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry on the #EndSARS Lekki Toll Gate shooting that occurred on October 20, 2021.
The 8 member Judicial Panel on Monday 15 October submitted their report to Lagos state governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, indicting the Nigerian police and Army in the killing of peaceful protesters.
Reacting to the verdict, DJ Switch, who live-streamed the shooting on her Instagram took to her Twiter to say the truth was finally out.
“Shattered so many lives, tried to destroy mine. Only for what you desperately tried to hide to be made public… by you! The truth needs no defense! #EndSARS,” she tweeted.

Regardless of Dj Switch’s lives stream footage, several victims and eyewitness reports, the Nigerian Army and Police continued to deny the Lekki Massacre.
However, the Judicial Panel in its report said there was an attempt to cover up the killings by the security operatives.
“There was an attempt to cover up the incident of the 20th of October by the cleaning of the Lekki tollgate. And the failure to preserve the scene ahead of the potential investigations,” the report says.
Also in the 309-page report, the panel concluded that “the atrocious maiming and killing of unarmed, helpless and unresisting protesters, while sitting on the floor and waiving their Nigerian flags, while singing the National Anthem, can be equated to a massacre in context.”
