Hollywood star actress Meagan Good and her preacher husband Devon Franklin are getting divorced after nine years of marriage.
Franklin who’s a church leader and minister filed from the actress according to reports.
Good, 40 and Franklin, 43, gave PEOPLE a statement saying, “After much prayer and consideration, we have decided to go into our futures separately but forever connected. We celebrate almost a decade of marriage together and a love that is eternal. There’s no one at fault, we believe this is the next best chapter in the evolution of our love.”
The couple got engaged in May 2012 after meeting on set of “Jumping The Broom” in 2011. They married in June 2012
“We are incredibly grateful for the life-changing years we’ve spent together as husband and wife. We are also extremely thankful to God for the testimony being created inside us both and for blessing our lives with each other,” said the statement.
The two co-authored a book, “The Wait” together in 2015 where they revealed Franklin was celibate for 10 years before they got married while she was for one.

In June this year, they celebrated their nine years anniversary, showering each other with sweet words.
“To the love of my life, my husband, purpose partner, happy anniversary!!” the Harlem star wrote on Instagram. “This makes #9 and eternity you go! You are the best decision I’ve ever made (besides loving Jesus lol). I love you with everything inside me. In this life and in the next.”
On his part, Franklin wrote a love note to Good, sharing a photo of them together. “I love you my love. Happy Anniversary #9,” he said in part.
Meagan Good in a 2016 interview said by the time she met Devon Franklin, she was ready to get married. However, some things about her were never going to change, regardless of her new status as a pastor’s wife.
“Me being married to a man of ministry, people saw me as a first lady of the church, and said I should now conduct myself in that manner,” she said. “[But] I have been acting since I was 4, so wearing s**y dresses on the red carpet is never going to change.”
