Dell recently teased another concept device the ‘stanza’, a note taking tablet and that’s its only function. This 11-inch device doesn’t have cameras, ports or even speakers. Dell says it provides users with a “distraction-free experience” purely for note taking.

So how does this device work? When you write on this tablet with its proprietary Dell stylus, double-tapping on the screen would instantly convert them to digital text. Users can also draw a straight line on words to delete them.

Asides from Note taking, this tablet can also serve as a second screen for productivity work. While we are not sure if this concept device would ever make it to production, it’s a beautiful concept.

This tablet can be used in elementary schools for note taking, or even in colleges and universities to avoid social media distraction. There’s also a built-in mic that should allow for audio transcription.

Dell’s latest Luna concept laptop looks to reduce global emissions and improve its range of laptop repairs. The company recently announces a new design concept for its laptops to reduce E-waste and improve maintenance.

This concept laptop could be the basis or chassis on which future Dell laptops will be built on. Screw drivers do not open this laptop, neither are there glues for placements of the pieces.

The sides of the laptop are removable. Interestingly, the entire body of the laptop contains fewer screws than what Dell uses for its laptop. Dell made some physical changes in this concept laptop to reduce the product carbon footprint. Firstly, the Motherboard is smaller with 75% shrinking reducing the carbon front print by Del; to be around 50%.

Dell says that recycling, reparability and also reducing its carbon footprint is the next ambition. It is currently evaluating the potential to scale this new design across its product portfolio.

The stanza concept device is another way the company can reduce barriers to collaboration and communication among team members. Dell is using its Concept flow dynamism to create a personal seamless transition to productivity.
