An Abuja upper area court has remanded controversial s*x therapist Jaruma, in prison following a petition by billionaire lawyer, Ned Nwoko.
Officials of the Nigerian Police arraigned Jaruma on Tuesday 25th January for defamation of character, false news publication, and intimidation.
Jaruma’s counsel, James Odibe however, pleaded with the court to grant the defendant bail on self-recognition.
In his ruling, Judge, Ismailia Abdullahi, adjourned the bail hearing until Friday 28th January.
The judge also directed should be remanded in the Suleja correction centre, while fixing the trial for February 23.

Just last week, Jaruma had opened up on her arrest by policemen in Abuja. She called out Ned Nwoko for arresting her over a quarrel with his wife Regina Daniels.
In her video, the s*x therapist said that politician used his police influence to intimidate, arrest, and detain her. She also claimed that Nwoko treats people unfairly whenever they speak out.
Trouble started in October 2021 when rumours swirled on the internet that Regina Daniels used Jaruma’s s*x enhancers to secure her marriage with Nwoko.
The actress quickly debunked the rumours stating she only handled paid advertisement for Jaruma but have not used the products personally.
But in her response, Jaruma slammed the actress saying she paid her the sum of ₦10 million to market her product.
