Nigerian dancehall singer Cynthia Morgan has disclosed DMW boss Davido didn’t fulfil his promise of helping her in 2020.
Morgan, who is now known as Madrina, was formerly signed to Jude Okoye’s Northside Entertainment. But the pair fell out and were engaged in a war of words last year.
Amid the face-off, Davido had asked Morgan to reach out to him for music collaboration.
“Cynthia Morgan call me. Tell Cynthia I got an anthem for her. I’ll record my verse now,” he had written on Twitter.
But during an interactive Instagram session on Sunday 28th November, a fan had asked if she eventually got assistance from the “Aye” crooner after his tweet.
In her reply, Morgan said she sensed that the gesture was not a genuine one but decided to play along she would not be thought as being proud.

The “German Juice” singer added that her instinct proved to be right as the “mouthed collaboration and help” never materialised.
“Omo all those levels na washhh. I tried to give it a benefit of doubt, played along so make dem no talk say I too get pride, but in the end, I was right! I hope we are done with this particular question since 2020. Make una let me rest oo,” she wrote in.
Last year, Morgan had also claimed the ‘Risky’ crooner ignored her calls after his tweet.
“After the interview that I had with Sandra, I did see a tweet where David said ‘Cynthia call Me’ and I did call David but he didn’t take his calls. Sent messages on WhatsApp but he didn’t reply them,” she had said.
“It’s just a long story actually, but l don’t know. Even the record he sent, I made a demo verse of the record and it’s been like three months we’ve not heard anything from David.” She tweeted.
Cynthia Morgan rose to prominence in the Nigerian music scene between 2014 – 2017. With hit songs like “Don’t break my heart” “Taken” and “German Juice”, Morgan easily became a household name in Nigeria.
However, she disappeared from the music scene around 2017. However, in April 2020 she broke the silence on her whereabouts, granting an interview to music journalist Sydney Shocker on ITV Benin. In the video, Morgan explained her disappearance was because she had to deal with family and health challenges.
