Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced that the long-awaited Cybertruck is ready to launch in 2023, but very few people believe this. Given the truck’s history of changing dates and Musk’s personal history of not keeping to his promises, you can’t blame them.
For those keeping track, it seems this is the fourth official launch date that the Cybertruck is getting.
Although he mentioned no specific date, the Billionaire did say the middle of 2023, so we could be seeing the truck on the roads by the end of the second quarter.
As quoted by TechCrunch, Elon Musk said, “We are still expecting to be in production with the Cybertruck in middle of next year. We’re very excited about that product. It might actually be our best product ever.”

With an alleged 1.5 million reservations already for the truck, Tesla would have to pull off a production miracle to fulfill all the orders it already has in three years, when it claims it will resume accepting reservations. Even the promise of dedicating the Gigafactory in Austin, Texas, to this venture does not make it any realistic.
However, this is Elon Musk, the man who successfully made reusable rockets. Impossible seems to be his stock of trade. And he has boasted of finding a way to make the entire process faster.
“We’ll bring another level of simplicity and manufacturing improvements with Cybertruck and future products that we’re not quite ready to talk about now,” Musk assured.
