Coming Apple Over-Ear Headphones Design Leaks Via Icon Reveal
Rumours have had it for months that Apple is been working on new over-ear headphones and thanks to an icon, we just might know what it looks like. The icon was found in the first developer beta for iOS 14.3 by 9to5Mac.
MacRumors contributing writer Steve Moser posted a tweet with a video showing the new Apple over-ear headphones.

In the video, a magnifying glass hovers over the icon of the headphones and also passes over a backpack and a suitcase. The backpack would be an ideal place to store Apple’s rumored Tile-like trackers per The Verge. That the video is found in Find My app suggests the possibility that the app can help track both the headphones and the trackers.
The new icon has an entirely different design from the one in earlier rumours. In March 2020, 9to5Mac found two icons of the Apple over-ear headphones in an early build of iOS 14 which had suggested that the headphones would come in black and white:
Like the previous rumoured design, it is no guarantee that Apple will actually release the over-ear headphones. This is because even though the icon is in the beta, it can be removed before the OS gets launched. According to reports, the production of the headband is suffering some delays due to issues over its headband.
