The premiere of the film, “Living in Bondage: Breaking Free”, took place at Filmhouse Cinemas Lekki on Saturday, 2nd November 2019. In attendance were top Nigerian celebrities who came to grace the event themed “Demons in Diamonds”.
At the event were Diane Russet, Seyi Awolowo and Ike Onyeoma from the just concluded BBNaija “Pepper Dem” Season four. CeeC and Anto from Season three were also present.
Meanwhile, in accordance with the theme of the premiere, a bunch of celebrities came in all-black outfits to support the cast and crew of the film. They included the likes of Jemima Osunde to Eyinna Nwigwe, Ini Edo, Lilian Esoro, and also Ini Dima-Okojie.
The story centres around a young ambitious young man named Nnamdi who wants a good life. He then goes to Lagos State to meet his friend who promised to give him all he wants, but in return would give back to a deadly confraternity and sell his soul to Lucifer.
“Living in Bondage” is a 1992/1993 Nigerian two-part drama thriller film directed by Chris Obi Rapu, written by Kenneth Nnebue and Okechukwu Ogunjiofor. It also features top actors such as Kenneth Okonkwo and Kanayo O. Kanayo who appears in the sequel 26 years after.
Finally, the film will start showing in cinemas nationwide from Friday, 8th November 2019.
