Representatives of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) have pledged their support for Senior Pastor of COZA, Biodun Fatoyinbo. They made this known during their visit to the Abuja branch of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) on Sunday, 15th July 2019. During the church service, the CAN leaders made the pledged support for Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo public. The content of the message was captured in a video that has since gone viral on social media.

The leader of CAN Northcentral, Israel Akanji, and FCT Chapter, Jonah Samson, were the representatives. They pledged to stand and support Biodun Fatoyinbo, who has been publicly accused of r*pe twice. The first being from the wife of singer, Timi Dakolo, Busola, and the other from an anonymous lady.

Busola had alleged that Pastor Fatoyinbo had r*ped her in her father’s house when she was seventeen.

She also added in the exclusive interview that went viral that he had s*x with her a few other times.

Fatoyinbo, who leads churches in Abuja, Lagos, Ilorin, Port Harcourt and Dubai has however denied the allegations. He made this known in a statement he released following the accusations. Although, he took a leave of absence from his position after several protests from the public; he vowed to challenge his accusers in court.

During the service, Isreal Akanji said he was impressed and blessed in COZA. He added that CAN was in support of Pastor Biodun and praying for him and the church as they face this hard time. The congregation received this with loud cheers.

In his speech, Reverend Jonah said:

“It’s a pleasure being here, and I assure you that we are with you and we will continue to be with you. We are in support of the church. We are in support of your pastor, we stand by him, and this church will continue to match forward. I declare that the gates of hell shall not prevail against this church in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.”

Meanwhile, Akanji noted that he had an obligation to support God’s church.

The leader of CAN Northcentral said:

“I thought I knew music until I came into Coza, I have been greatly impressed, touched and blessed in this place.

“My message for you is in Colossians 1:3, the church in Nigeria is praying for you, we pray this church rise from glory to glory. In the journey of life, sometimes we find ourselves wounded and dying the people we expect to come and help us are not there they are the once that work out what Samaritan did in the time of need was shown love today we have come.”

He added:

“I could have been living in Nasarawa State, Benue, Kwara, Kogi, Niger or Plateau. I could have been chairman living in any of those places. But by God’s mercy, I am presently living in Abuja.

“I believe God has set up COZA church for our generation to do things differently. If anything happens to COZA it happens to the body of Christ. Our goal is to the victory of God and I pray nothing will bring this church down in Jesus name.

“How can I and then the FCT (CAN) chairman hear that one church that God has a plan and purpose for is going through this Jerusalem-Jericho road and then we will walk and walk away? We will not do such a thing. We are here to just let you know, as he said, we are with you in prayer.

“Lord will bring you out stronger and your pastor by the grace of God will continue to be the voice of God. We pray the lord stands by you because you are not alone and have brothers praying for you.”
