The RIAA certification in the US is based on the number of albums and singles sold through retail and other ancillary markets.

A Gold record is a single or album that sells 500,000 units in either records, tapes, or compact discs.

“Ye” peaked on No. 26 and 31 on Billboard’s BillboardMainstream R&B/Hip-Hop and R&B/Hip-hop Airplay charts in its year of release.

The song earned 11 million views across American streaming platforms within seven months of its release. The video which Burna Boy says “essentially shows the unrelenting nature of Nigerians” is currently at 137 million views on YouTube. “Ye” is arguably the singer’s biggest song; a tune he never fails to thrill fans to in his performances across the world.

Congratulations to Burna and his team on this one!
