Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari will address the nation by 7pm Nigerian time today.
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, made this announcement statement in the early hours of today.
“Television, radio and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) respectively for the broadcast,” he said.

Buhari had previously addressed Nigerians on … where he announced total lockdown of three states in the country; Lagos, Ogun and FCT( Abuja). In that broadcast, President Buhari plead with Nigerians to be patient and stay at home so we can defeat the virus together.
Already, they’re speculations on if the President will extend the lockdown. Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the president, Mr. Garba Shehu, had said on Saturday that the lockdown would hold for as long as necessary.
Following the NCDC report from yesterday, the virus has so far spread to 19 states and the Federal Capital Territory, with a total number of 323 confirmed cases. 85 have been discharged with 10 deaths.
