There is a job opening at the Royal Buckingham Palace. If you know you are great on social media, you might be a suitable candidate for this role.
Britain’s royal family is presently looking for someone that will help manage their online presence. The selected candidate will update fans about everything (almost everything) that happens with the royal family.
The individual will help handle the social media accounts of the Buckingham family and their offspring. The queen, who is 93-year-old, is obviously too old and too regal to be dealing with issues as trivial as social media.
The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge are pleased to share new photos of their family at the #RHSChelsea Back to Nature garden.

The successful candidate will have the role of digital communications officer. The person will also earn around £30,000 for the job, and get 33 days of paid leave yearly. Furthermore, the location of the job will be at the almighty Buckingham Palace.
The job posting explains what the role will entail. It includes discovering “new ways to maintain the Queen’s presence in the public eye and on the world stage.” This they will need to do via social media and other online platforms for the royal family. Other tasks will include overseeing the daily flow of news from the royal kingdom on social media and projecting the work and role of the royal family.
The job advert says,
“Whether you’re covering a state visit, award ceremony, or royal engagement, you’ll make sure our digital channels consistently spark interest and reach a range of audiences. With an eye to the future, you’ll help hone and shape our digital communications through analytics, monitoring and exploring new technologies.”
The job will require a professional who can also research and write feature articles for the royal family’s website. The right candidate must also have photography and video production skills. At the moment the Royals have a website, several Instagram and Twitter accounts that have a huge amount of following and a Facebook page. All these will be overseen by the successful candidate.
This job does not seem like an easy feat and, clearly, an experienced candidate will be most suitable. They would also need to be mature enough to boost the royal family’s online image effectively. They must somehow avoid scandal or controversies in any way that they can.
This job opening is open to people that have a work permit or permanent residence in the UK. So if you meet all these criteria, hurry up! You have a few hours left as the application closes tomorrow, 26th May 2019.
