There’s a new occupant in Downing Street as UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has welcomed a baby boy with his fiance Carrie Symonds. She put to bed in the early hours of Wednesday April 29.
A spokesman for the couple said both mother and baby are doing very well. It is understood that the Prime Minister was present throughout the time of her labor.
“The Prime Minister and Ms. Symonds are thrilled to announce the birth of a healthy baby boy at a London hospital earlier this morning. Both mother and baby are doing very well,” the spokesman confirmed. “The PM and Ms. Symonds would like to thank the fantastic NHS maternity team,”
Her delivery came two days after Mr. Johnson resumed office from a Coronavirus prompted hiatus. The prime minister had contracted the virus and fell seriously ill. He at some point was a guest in the ICU ward as he was unable to breathe on his own and needed a respirator.
Boris Johnson is the first world leader to come down with Coronavirus.
