Blue Origin Sends Six Flight Crew Members To Space On Blue Shepard

Blue Origin on Saturday, December 10 2021 sent three flight crew members to space and back for its third orbit trip. The crew boarded the company’s New Shepard rocket and flew around 10 AM eastern time from Origin’s facility at Van Horn, Texas.

Flight crew members include Evan D**k, Lane Bess, Cameron Bess, Michael Strahan, Laura Shepard Churchley, and Dylan Taylor. The first Father and son to fly to space are the Bess, while Laura is the first daughter of American Astronaut Alan Shepard.

The crew flew to a 351,225 feet high approximately 66 miles above the outskirts of Earth. After which they flew downwards, landing successfully back at the facility.

Eslewhere, rival CEO Richard Branson recently visited one of the lucky recipients of the its free space flight raffle draw. Keisha S hails from Antigua and Barbuda, she will be the first person from the Caribbean islands to visit space.

She also has a daughter that studies astrophysics who she will be taking along the space ride as a guest. “This is truly a dream come true for me,” Keisha said in a press release, “I’ve always had a lifelong love of flying and a fascination with space.”

The charitable donation to the company’s raffle draw in conjunction with Omaze in conjunction with Virgin Galactic amounted to about $1.7 million. The monies will be given to the Space for Humanity and its Citizen Astronaut Program.

Jeff Bezos Blue Origin has successfully flown passengers to the Space for the third time. The company continues to expand its Space tourism business.  What remains now is upscaling it for frequent flights while maintaining safety standards.
