What exactly has Beyoncé been up to this year on social media? Not much, it seemed.
She flits through Instagram in her usual posting captionless pictures( when you’re the Queen Bey, you don’t need captions), pays tribute to Kobe Bryant’s death, hypes her friend Kelly’s new music coffee and retreats back to the mysteriousness of her existence.
Its why fans were beside themselves when news of her making a remix with Megan the Stallion on her song “Savage” hit the internet on Wednesday. No one saw it coming.
The song initially meant for spring break this year that never happened.
From Meghan’s EP Suga, “Savage’s” success stemmed from the sheer magnetism of Megan’s personality, the sass on its lyrics, and TikTok users who couldn’t stop making videos to it.

Beyoncé moves smoothly into the “Classy, bougie, ratchet” chorused song, rapping about demon time, only fans, and other pertinent topics on social media recently. Apparently, Queen Bey is more present than we thought.
You’ll find yourself catching your breath whilst listening as every line hits harder the last.
The song picks up the ante as it builds with Beyoncé and Megan dropping catchy phrases at every turn. Same as the drawl in “Drunk in love”, Beyonce thrills listeners to sick rap verses in noteworthy fluidity.
“Queen B, want no smoke with me (Okay) / Then turn this motherf*cker up eight hundred degree / Team eat, chef’s kiss, she’s a treat / Oh, she so bougie, bougie, bon appetit”
The art of making remixes that slaps even harder than the original has long been lost, interchanged with sub-par lines for a fresh fan base to appeal to. It seems Beyonce and Megan seem to have brought the fire back on.
The song just mere hours after it’s release is already trending NO 1 on YouTube, another proof that good music has nowhere to hide.

Artist proceeds from the remix are to be donated in their entirety to Bread Of Life, Inc. a disaster relief organization in Beyonce and Megan’s hometown Houston.
