The end of “Avengers: Endgame” is the birth of “Spider-Man: Far From Home”. Disclaimer: If you don’t want spoilers, now is the time to stop.
If you’re a fan of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), then you know that “it’s all connected.” All the Avengers have a story with some connection that makes it fun for the viewers to find a relationship. So, what happens when (wait for it!) Iron Man dies? Many fans are speculating whether Spider-Man would be his replacement. Although, one wonders if Iron Man can ever be replaced.
With “Avengers: Endgame” closing the book of some of the iconic old characters, will the new ones be able to live up to the record?
We warned you about spoilers, and we’re just getting started. If you’re 100% into the ‘Spoil it please’ team, then read on for a recap of what leads to the latest Marvel film. Meanwhile, watch the official trailer below to get your adrenaline rushing and set for a new Marvel Studio experience.
“Spider-Man: Far From Home” official trailer
Peter Parker‘s relaxing European vacation takes an unexpected turn when Nick Fury suddenly shows up in his hotel room. Parker soon finds himself donning the Spider-Man suit to help Fury stop the evil Mysterio from wreaking havoc across the continent.
Questions and even more questions!
Marvel released the new trailer for “Spider-Man: Far From Home” starring Tom Holland as Spider-Man on Monday. Scenes revealed makes it clear that he just might be the new Iron Man. This was made evident in the several lines of dialogue where he’s discussed as the “new” or “next” Iron Man. No, Iron Man isn’t sleeping in ice or taking a break. He’s dead.
It’s either that or this film is the start of a new multiverse. If it is, then we are beyond excited to see what Marvel has to offer.
In “Avengers: Endgame”, Tony Stark sacrificed his life to save the universe. His death is felt in the “Far From Home” trailer as evident in the street mural, flowers, candles and pictures paying tribute to him. Clearly, the world is aware of his sacrifice and he remains a legacy. Other Avengers who we bid goodbye to in Endgame are:
- Black Widow: Dead
- Captain America: Turned into an old man after living a long alternative life with Peggy (Does this explain it? Go watch it, you’ll cry.)
- Falcon: The new Captain America
- Thor: Living it up with the Guardians in space. “Off-world”
- Hawk-eye: Enjoying family time
- Hulk: Not so hulky anymore. (He’s quite handsome now!)
- Captain Marvel: Unavailable
- Black Panther: Probably keeping up with Wakanda
- Doctor Strange: Meditating?
So, now it’s just Peter Parker left to fend for himself in the loss of his hero and mentor, Tony Stark. “Far From Home” just might be that film that makes us see him as more than the guy that pops in when things get desperate.
Nick Fury comes knocking and it must be something serious. Spider-man has to step up with the great responsibility before him. With the new films — Captain Marvel, Wonder Woman, and now Spider-man — getting used to the new Avengers is easier.
We can’t want for the film set for release on 2nd July 2019.
- Samuel L. Jackson
- Cobie Smulders

Watch all the films to look forward to in May before the release of “Spider-Man: Far From Home”.
