Benivo, a company backed by Google and that is attempting to help HRs manage global mobility, has raised $12 million in funding.
The company had started out as an apartment rental platform but decided to pivot in the human resource management direction in 2017. Its decision, as the founder told TechCrunch, was due to Google’s backing after its first pitch.
Nitzan Yudan, who founded the company, claimed to have met with the giant search engine HR team at TechHub. And landed them as their first client.
“Despite presenting Google with the ugliest page in the history of internet pages (which was our not-even-MVP product then), they cared about their employees and really wanted to solve a problem. So they went ahead with us. With Google as our first client, deciding to pivot from the consumer business and stop competing with Airbnb was a natural step for the company,” Yudan said.

But how does Benivo aim to conquer the challenges that remote workers are posing for HR heads and teams?
Its simple solution is to bring assignment management systems and relocation management systems under one platform. It employs AI to automate and predict which staff needs to move around as well as monitor activities.
Also, it aims to digitise the manual processes of global mobility and eradicate the need to go from one platform to the other to manage staff.
Benivo latest funding now makes it valued at $30 million with Updata Partners and Google as investors.
