Organisers of  Africa’s biggest reality show Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija) has recorded cumulative vote sof over one billion from fans.

The mind-blowing figure was confirmed by the show’s host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu at the grand finale on Sunday 3rd October.

Meanwhile, fans in the United Kingdom made part of the show’s audience for the first time since the show returned to screens,

BBNaija season six came with some new features this year. First, the show had a twist in the first week in the form of wildcards or fake housemates. Housemates were made to figure out who these fake housemates were or give them the freedom to participate in the show.

Second, the voting process took another turn this year. Unlike the previous editions where voting was via text messages, fans were encouraged to support their favourites by voting on the organisers’ online platforms with more votes allocated to subscribers of their cable TV decoders.

Meanwhile, the ‘Shine Ya Eye’ season rounded up with an intriguing finale show on Sunday, October 3.  Made Kuti, Ajebo Hustlers, Lojay and BBNaija alumni Avala and Laycon were present to give electrifying performances.

Season six winner Whitemoney had a landslide victory with 47 % of fan votes. Liquorose came second place with 22.99% of fan votes while Pere and Cross came in third and fourth place respectively.

Whitemoney takes home ₦90 million worth of prizes including ₦30 million cash, a house and a brand new car.
