Phyna has been named the head of house (HoH) for week eight of BBNaija season seven.

To win the title, the Engineering graduate defeated 11 other housemates, with the exception of the incumbent HoH.

Since the level system was scrapped four weeks ago, housemates have been competing for individual immunity.

The first challenge, which was played in two rounds for males and females separately, involved using tennis balls to knock down as many bottles as possible in a set amount of time.

They were then pitted against each other in the second challenge which involved using an elbow-braced hand to pour water from a cup into their mouths and then spitting the water into jugs to fill it up.

Phyna won the race by filling the jug the fastest. With the win, the hype woman has gained immunity from eviction this week.

Meanwhile, Hermes, Adekunle, Bella, Dotun, Allysyn, Sheggz, and Rachel are up for possible eviction this week.

Biggie informed housemates shortly after the HoH game that they could nominate three of their co-workers for eviction.

Bella received the most nominations with six, followed by Adekunle, Sheggz, Hermes, and Rachel, who each received five.

Chichi and Dotun each received two nominations, while Allyson, Daniella, and Bryan each received one.

Phyna was given the authority to save one of the nominated housemates while replacing them with another.
