Few hours after reports revealed that BBNaija’s Nengi Rebbaca Hampson is no more the face of the Bayelsa Girl Child, the state government has come to clear the air.
First, the Government of Bayelsa agreed to have appointed Barr. Ebizi Blessing Eradiri as the face of the Bayelsa Girl Child.
In a chat with BBC Pidgin, the Chief Press Secretary to the Bayelsa state governor, Daniel Alabrah, stated that Nengi has not been removed or replaced. According to him, Nengi and Eradiri will work together in promoting the Girl Child in the state.
“Nengi is from the entertainment sector and as such she can function perfectly there. While Miss Eradiri will function in the education sector. This is for them to inspire and encourage young women from the state. It is wrong for people to speculate and politicise everything,” he said.

Meanwhile, Nengi has taken to Twitter to congratulate Ebizi Eradiri stating that they will work together for the betterment of the Girl-child in their state.

Barr. Ebizi Blessing Eradiri is a First Class Law Graduate from Niger Delta University (NDU) Amassoma and Nigerian Law School. She received an automatic Scholarship up To Ph.D. level and automatic employment as a lecturer in NDU.
