Apple is offering to replace the display of your iPhone 11 if it isn’t responding to touches. The tech giant has started a replacement program for iPhone 11 displays that stop responding to touches “due to an issue with the display module”.

The company says that only “a small percentage of iPhone 11 displays” are affected. The program affects devices manufactured between November 2019 and May 2020.

To check if your phone is eligible, especially if you’re seeing the issue on your iPhone 11 display, enter the phone’s serial number into a box on Apple’s website for the replacement program.

The site stipulates that; “If your iPhone 11 has been exhibiting this issue, please use the serial number checker below to see if your device is eligible for this program. If so, Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider will provide service, free of charge.”

After checking and if your phone is eligible for replacement, you’ll need to find one of Apple’s authorized service providers to get a resolution. You can make an appointment at an Apple retail store, or contact Apple support to arrange for a mail in.

According to Apple, the affected phones are covered for two years from the day of purchase. So you’re eligible for a free replacement at any time within the two-year window.

The company also advises customers to back up their iPhone to iCloud or your computer.
