Apple Reveals New Date For Virtual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2020

Apple just announced that its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will start on 22nd June 2020 as a strictly virtual even. But the company has not revealed how many days the event will last.

In March 2020, following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Apple had announced that it was canceling its biggest annual show, the WWDC. It had added that the event would instead be held as an online event instead in June.

The effect of the virus had not affected Apple alone. Many tech firms began canceling their events as well and turning it into online events.

The world was experiencing a surge towards the virtual space and making tech growth leaps that would have naturally taken longer. It is only expected that tech firms take the lead in making these adjustments, and they have done just so.

Recently, we reported that EA (Electronic Arts) had turned its gaming conference into an online event fixed for June as well.

However, the only information we have on Apple’s WWDC is its new date as the company has not said anything about the schedule and what to expect.

It will seem that, like EA, Apple just wants to assure enthusiasts that the event would hold. Yet, it is big news as many usually look forward to the Worldwide Developers Congress.

This is because the company makes some major announcements and launch products as well. For example, Apple had launched the new version of the Mac Pro computer at the WWDC 2019.

While we await further news about the Worldwide Developers Congress 2020, we expect that the company is making a rich schedule to give the world a memorable virtual experience.
