Apple Launches The iPhone SE With Powerful Specifications At An Affordable Price Of $399

Apple released the second generation of the iPhone SE (Special Edition) today 15th April 2020 and the smartphone brings powerful specifications at an affordable price of $399.

Many are accustomed to the high price of iPhones. Thus, when the company released the starting price for its 2020 iPhone SE, it surprised them.

The iPhone SE makes a comeback after its first release in 2016. While this new iPhone SE version comes at the same price as its predecessor, it brings much higher specifications.

This pricing scheme is likely to make it more affordable; as many people are out of work due to the economic strain that the coronavirus pandemic is causing.

It has been compared to the iPhone 8 as they both use a 4.7-inch LCD display. Also, the iPhone SE has an IP67 rating in terms of water resistance.

There is no headphone jack for the smartphone and it was released in three original colours: white, black and red. It has a physical home button and a Touch ID. This allows users to use the phone for functions like Apple Pay, Express Transit, and scanning NFC tags.

Like the recently released iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro, the iPhone SE 2020 comes with an A13 Bionic chip. This processor puts it at double the speed of the first iPhone SE. It also beats the iPhone 8’s A11 chip’s speed by about 40.

Its camera ability is also impressive. The phone’s selfie camera is a 7-megapixels tool (with Retina flash). Its rear camera measures 12-megapixel. In addition, both cameras can capture images in Portrait mode and they have access to all of Apple’s lighting effects.

The company claims that users can use the rear camera to shoot 4K videos (up to 60fps). It also allows capturing in slow-motion and time-lapse footage. iPhone SE 2020 has a QuickTake video feature, allowing users to start recording video by holding the shutter button alone.

The phone uses a 1,821mAh battery and supports both wireless and wire fast charging using an adapter of 18W. People can start pre-ordering the iPhone SE by 17th April 2020 and it will be available for sale on 24th April 2020.
