Apple Has Launched An Official $99 MagSafe Battery Pack for iPhone 12

An official Magsafe battery pack is now available from Apple, the company launched the magnetic batteries yesterday for $99.

It is currently available on Apple’s website and takes five to seven days for delivery. This battery pack works on the iPhone 12 series, which includes the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max.

When the MagSafe Battery pack charges users will see an amber status light. When it is fully charged, a green status will display briefly. Just like Apple’s wireless Magsafe charger, this Magsafe battery pack attaches magnetically to your iPhone 12.

This adds more functionality than the Magsafe iPhone cases, giving you some extra juice when your phone battery is down. According to Apple, this battery pack charges up to 5W, a really slow way of charging your phone.

 

But can be increased to 15W wireless charging when you plug your lightning cable into it.

With a higher 20W power adapter, Apple says you can charge both the MagSafe Battery Pack and your iPhone even faster. This battery pack is made of Lithium, compact, and snaps to your iPhone making charging a breeze.

When you attach your MagSafe Battery pack to your iPhone, it will immediately charge and display a charging status on the Lock screen.

Apple says your iPhone battery will need a software update in order to be compatible with this MagSafe battery pack. To make sure your iPhone is MagSafe-compatible, you need to be running iOS 14.7 or later.

 

The battery software update should be out before the MagSafe Battery Pack’s earliest delivery date.
