The Cupertino based company still has a lot of hardware to release, based on rumours. It plans to update its Macbook Pro with new square designs and its improved silicon chips. Its in-house M1 chip will be seeing an upgrade to MIX according to rumours.

Also in the pipeline might be the new high-end Mini and Airpods 3. There is a whole lot to be announced by Apple for its October event. We earlier predicted a 19 or 26 of this month event, but Apple went for a Monday event. A day earlier than the Google Pixel 6 launching day. As usual Apple always sends a notice to the press, a week before an event.

New Macbooks

Months ago, reports from Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says there will be a new MacBook Air with a Mini LED display for 2022.

The analyst said:

“We expect Apple to release a new MacBook Air around the middle of 2022 with a 13.3-inch mini LED display.”

Apple's M2 Processor Delayed To 2022's MacBook Air

The new MacBook Air is to have two USB 4 ports, reintroduced MagSafe charging.  Same as the new Apple processors for its iPhones and iPads, there will be a direct successor to the present M1 processor according to Bloomberg.

Currently, the Apple Silicon M1 models are cheaper at $699 and $899. A new redesigned MX1 Mac Mini probably will be cheaper or at least have newer specs alongside the entire Apple Family.

Macbooks Pro are not left out, with the expected design changes of the Air. There will be slimmer bezels, HDMI ports, and SD card slots for creatives. They probably will run the newer M1X chips, with optional dedicated graphics cards. Who knows, we might also see the annoying Touch bar go away since its release in 2016.

Flashy MAC Mini

We could see a new high-end Mac mini launch this month. Mark Gurman in his Power On newsletter believes Apple will beef up its current Mac Mini. Apple’s current Mac Mini uses its own proprietary chip, the M1.

Gurman believes the new high-end Mac Mini will have a newer M1X chip, and 4 USB-A ports. Also saying that Apple would stop selling its Intel Mac Mini, which currently retails for $1,099.

“The Mac Mini is used for more basic tasks like video streaming, but many people use it as a software development machine, as a server or for their video-editing needs.” Gurman said.

Reports also say Apple will be updating its AirPods 2 with the AirPods Pro design language. That means shorter stems and sleekness, and sound improvement. Although, active noise cancellation will be reserved for its AirPods Pro lineup. Others say the more expensive Airpods Pro might ditch its stems entirely, following the Samsung Buds design. Personally, I feel those are ugly and shouldn’t happen.

Surprises

We might see surprise hardware from Apple. Maybe an electronic car, virtual reality glasses or Augmented headsets. The company is known for keeping hardware leaks in check hence the surprises at its events.

Apple has decided to announce its new hardware products before the Google Pixel 6 launches. We certainly think we are in for a treat from the Tech gaints.
