American rapper Soulja Boy is going to be a father.
The “Crank That (Soulja Boy)” rapper is expecting his first child, a baby boy, with Los Angeles-based hairstylist Jackilyn Martinez.
Soulja Boy, 31, announced the exciting news via Instagram on Saturday March 19th with a video from their outdoor gender reveal party.
“It’s a boy ‼️👶🏾🙏🏾🥺😝🥳,” he captioned the clip, which showed him excitedly jumping up and down as he celebrated with family and friends.

Soulja Boy also shared the news to his Instagram Stories on Sunday, writing, “THANK YOU GOD. SUCH A BLESSING. DEAR SON I WILL LOVE U FOREVER.”
The rapper had previously been vocal about his desire to have kids someday.
“I have everything I want in life except for a son,” he said via his Instagram Story in September 2021. “God please bless me I’ve been patient.”
DeAndre Cortez Way was born on July 28, 1990, in Chicago, Illinois. He is a Grammy-nominated rapper, dancer, and producer.
The rapper shot to fame in September 2007, when his single “Crank That (Soulja Boy)” reached number one on the Billboard Top 100.
He released his debut album, “Unsigned & Still Major: Da Album Before da Album” in 2007 and followed this with 2007’s “souljaboytellem.com” and 2008’s “iSouljaBoyTellem”.
His fourth studio album, The DeAndre Way, was released in November 2010.
