Comedian and Actor Chris Rock has drawn criticism again over a joke he made over the weekend
in which he stated that he had been asked to host the Oscars once more after being smacked on stage during the 2022 ceremony.
Chris told his audience that returning to host the Oscars will be like asking murdered Nicole Brown “to go back to the restaurant” where she left her eyeglasses before she was killed.
Meanwhile the relatives of Nicole didn’t take well to his analogies.
Nicole Brown’s sister Tanya Brown told TMZ that Chris Rock’s joke “truly makes no sense.” She claims that making the analogy between receiving a slap at the Oscars and a horrific double homicide lacks both logic and a fundamental relationship.
Tanya adds that his attempt at humor was distasteful and offensive to the extended family.

She further emphasized that Chris’s remarks touched near to heart and saddened her because there are still living family members who are still mourning Nicole’s death.
Tanya says she thinks Chris Rock could have used any other analogy to make his point.
Chris Rock is also being called out by a lot of people online for the joke. Some are even suggesting maybe he deserved getting slapped by Will Smith.
Nicole Brown Simpson was the ex-wife of the former professional American football player, O. J. Simpson, whom she was married to from 1985 to 1992. She was also the mother of their two children, Sydney and Justin.
However Simpson was killed in 1994, at age 35, in a brutal double homicide.
Her ex-husband O.J. Simpson was accused of the murders and stood trial and was famously acquitted.
