After Noticing Glitches, Samsung Withdraws Galaxy S20 Ultra Updates

Samsung has pulled down its most recent update for the Galaxy S20 Ultra following complaints about its many glitches and bugs.

Since its launch in February, the Samsung Galaxy S20 smartphones have seen lots of software updates. Even before the S20 Ultra entered the market, Samsung already had an update for it in the works.

In addition, Verizon began rolling out a pre-release update to its Galaxy S20 Plus and Galaxy S20 Ultra line by the beginning of March. This was to improve its performance and it also had a security fix.

Not long after, T-Mobile also started releasing March updates for its Galaxy S20 products.

Updates for the Galaxy S20 smartphones have brought improvements to the camera and other features, including touch gestures.

However, its most recent updates have proved to be problematic. This is the software update version that comes with the batch ID: G988xXXU1ATCT.

According to a Sammobile article, this update had some of the following problems:

— A green tint appeared on the screen of the smartphone when a user set the refresh rate to 120Hz.

— There were problems with the autofocus feature in the camera.

— It slowed down the super-fast charging feature (especially in the Galaxy S20 Ultra).

The update is allegedly still available for the Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20, but cannot be found on the Galaxy Ultra version.

Samsung has not officially explained why it removed the update. This is because there is news that the fixes for the bugs are in the works. Whatever their reason, it is likely for a more friendly update later.
