AFRIMA 2022; Kizz Daniel Leads Nominee List With 5 Nominations

The African Union Commission (AUC) and the International Executive Committee of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) have jointly released the official list of 2022 nominees on Wednesday, September 12.

At the Award, which is set for December 2022, several Nigerian musicians received nominations.

Meanwhile, Kizz
Daniel
is the most nominated Nigerian artist with five nominations, thanks to his smash song “Buga.”

His nomination includes;
Best Male Artiste in Western Africa, Song of the Year, Artist of the Year, Best African Collaboration, and Best Artiste, Duo or Group in African Pop.

Burna Boy is nominated for “Best Male Artiste in Western Africa”; “Song of the Year”; “Album of the Year”,

and“Artiste of the Year”.

Davido was nominated for “Best African Collaboration”, “Best Artist, Duo or Group in African Electro,

“Best Artist Duo or Group in African Pop”, and “Best Male Artist in African Inspirational Music”.

The following categories were nominated for Fireboy: “Best Male Artiste in Western Africa,” “Song of the Year,” “Artiste of the Year,” and “Best African Collaboration.”

Four categories, including “Best Female Artiste in Western Africa,” “Artist of the Year,” “Best African Collaboration,” and “Best Artiste, Duo or Group in African RnB/Soul,” were nominated for Tiwa Savage.
Furthermore, Nigerian singers CKay, Rema, Pheelz, and Asake also received nominations.
