“Yeahh
I’m gonna take my horse to the Old Town Road
I’m gonna rideeee till I can’t no more.”

These are lyrics that changed Lil Nas X’s life. “Old Town Road” has become the longest-running number-one hit on Billboard’s Hot 100 for the 17th consecutive week. The old record was set at 16-weeks by 1995’s One Sweet Day by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men. That record was then matched by the 2017 Latin juggernaut “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi, which featured Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber.
